The starting signal for a global career? Slawa Spomer signs with Legacy Sports Management.
The German world-class boxer Slawa Spomer signs with Legacy Sports Management. Is this the long-awaited start of a world career?
Recently, things have been relatively quiet around the Düsseldorf-based company Legacy Sports Management. After a number of ambitious events and major commitments, they were no longer active in 2024. The same thing happened to the German world-class boxer Slawa Spomer (19-0), who unfortunately was unable to fight any more fights after his great victory in October. The momentum was in danger of disappearing, but now there is promising news that should certainly please boxing fans in Germany.

A few days ago, Spomer and Legacy Sports Management announced their future collaboration. This is quite a coup for the Düsseldorf-based company, as super welterweight Spomer is considered one of the best boxers in the country. After his last success, this opinion should be widespread. Much has been written about the performance of Agit Kabayel (25-0), who defeated Arslanbek Makhmudov (19-1) last year, but Spomer’s performance was no less impressive against a favored opponent. In October, Spomer competed against the powerful Frenchman Milan Prat (24-1), with Prat being a Legacy protégé and a home boxer, so to speak. However, this did not impress Spomer much, who offered a world-class performance, knocked Prat to the ground several times and finally stopped him.
Boxing fans were all the more impatient when there was no news about Spomer. But now this could suddenly change. Promoter Karim Akkar from Legacy Sports Management was also apparently very impressed, and after Spomer’s victory he came to the conclusion that he absolutely had to sign this boxer. No sooner said than done. This means that Legacy has made a name for itself in the local boxing scene, and for Spomer it will hopefully be the start of a world-class career. The man from Heilbronn is currently ranked 13th in the WBA, 7th in the IBF and 8th in the WBO. Promising rankings that now need to be reinforced with good title fights.
It remains to be hoped that sporting news will soon be produced again. There has been nothing in this regard since October 14th. Recently there were some rumors that Legacy Sports Management was struggling with boxers leaving; financing also seemed uncertain. However, the signing of Spomer was a real statement!
