Marcela Prieto, Mexican representative, was left out of the road cycling competition in the Paris 2024 Olympic GamesDuring the test, Prieto suffered a fall which left her disqualified from the race.
Prieto started the test with great impetus 158 kilometers by the French capital. However, 46.5 kilometers before the finish line, an accident delayed her more than 15 minutes compared to the other competitors.
Despite the incident, Prieto recovered and continued in the competition. However, the demands of the course and the high pace of the race prevented him from recovering and staying in the race.
In this race, American Kristen Faulkner won the gold medal with a time of 3:59.23 hours. Faulkner managed to break away from the leading group in the last two kilometers, thus taking first place.
Competitors following Faulkner were Marianne Vos of the Netherlands, Lotte Kopecky of Belgium and Blanka Vas of Hungary, all with an unofficial time of 4:00:21 hours.
