On behalf of an international law firm, we are looking for support in Customs lawThe firm is known for its Expertise in foreign trade, trade, tax and customs law and provides companies with comprehensive advice on their cross-border flow of goods. Against the backdrop of increasing trade barriers, the need for advice on Legal and efficient protection of international supply chainsFor this purpose, an interdisciplinary team of lawyers, tax consultants and qualified financial experts develops, examines and defends Strategies and measures for dealing with customs and VAT challenges.

The position is suitable for people who can think outside the box and are interested in creative work content.

Tasks

  • Advise from companies to their supply chains, in particular customs duties, VAT and ETS
  • customs check of facts*
  • Creating customs Appraise
  • Implementing and optimizing customs and VAT efficient Production and sales structures
  • Implementing and optimizing Customs compliance management systems (Cutoms Compliance)
  • Enforcing and defending against customs and VAT claims
  • Accompanying Customs and external audits
  • Follow legislation and case law, prepare appropriate Recommendations for action
  • *no customs processing, customs and tax declaration

qualification

  • Ideally (not a requirement) qualification as a lawyer
    (a), Diplom-Finanzwirt (Customs)/Bachelor of Laws Federal Customs Service
    or expert adviser (a) for customs
  • Sound knowledge of customs and sales tax law, e.g. from
    (Customs) administration, legal or tax advice (Customs,
    International/Global Trade, Indirect Tax, value-added tax/VAT)
  • (initial) knowledge of and interest in foreign trade law, commercial law and tax law
  • Basic business knowledge, corresponding pragmatic problem-solving skills
  • Interest in interdisciplinary and international cooperation

  • Knowledge of German and English
