A woman was threatened with a weapon and robbed on Thursday night, August 1, 2024, in Vienna-Ottakring.

A 31-year-old woman was threatened by a man in her apartment with what appeared to be a revolver and was forced to hand over cash. After handing over the cash demanded, she left the apartment and called the police. The 29-year-old Portuguese suspect was found in his apartment and arrested.

Almost 2 per mille alcohol in the blood
During a house search, a blank-firing revolver was found in a freezer and a stiletto were confiscated. He was reported because of an existing official weapons ban. No one was injured in the robbery. “A breathalyzer test showed that the arrested man had a blood alcohol level of 1.96 per mille,” Vienna police announced on Saturday afternoon. He was reported while at liberty on the orders of the Vienna public prosecutor’s office.
