Together with graduates of the Sofia High School for Bakery and Pastry Technologies and students from 51 “Elisaveta Bagryana” secondary school, under the expert guidance of instructors from the HRC Culinary Academy, the ombudsman Maya Manolova, the faces of the campaign – Miro, Anelia, Krisko, the basketball coach Titi Papazov, actress Desi Bakardjieva and her colleague Toncho Tokmakchiev will take part in the preparation of kosunatsi and buns, with which elderly people from a social home in the capital will be delighted. The message is directly related to the name and purpose of the initiative – this time, the children and grandchildren will be the ones to give a holiday to grandparents by serving them one of the symbols of the Easter table – the delicious kozunak, prepared with a lot of love and warmth.
The partners of the national campaign – Bulgarian Red Cross, the National Insurance Institute, “Bulgarian Post” EAD, the Bulgarian Food Bank, the National Alliance for Work with Volunteers (NARD), National Association “Youth Voice”, representatives of the food industry will also participate in the event , of food chains, etc.
In the third edition of “Easter for Everyone”, money and food products will again be collected for the elderly who will not receive an allowance for the great Christian holiday. The idea is to help people whose pension slightly exceeds the minimum threshold. According to approved lists of the National Social Insurance Institution, the funds will be converted into vouchers, each worth BGN 20, with which pensioners will have the opportunity to shop in 5,000 stores throughout the country. Seniors will receive their vouchers at local post offices. With the assistance of the social patronage in municipalities, in the week before Easter, food products will be distributed to socially weak and poor people.
In the previous two editions, the campaign collected nearly BGN 1 million and tons of food, with which tens of thousands of pensioners were delighted.
