CD Cacahuatique had the long-awaited debut in the Primera División but it did not happen in the best way, as the current champions welcomed them with a 1-3 win, thanks to a double from Emerson Mauricio and one from Anyelo Rodríguez. In the dying moments, René Gómez scored the first goal for the benjamins at 90+4′.
The champions of First and Second Division football faced each other in the second round of the championship at the municipal stadium of Chapeltique, in San Miguel, a venue where the fans of both teams attended the most important match of the date, to witness the debut of the team from San Miguel.
It took just five minutes for the Albos to send the ball into the visitors’ net, as the first time the Blancos had a chance to score against the home team’s goalkeeper, Óscar Sánchez, the team led by “El Zarco” Rodríguez made it 0-1.
