/ world today news/ Yesterday, the spokesman of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanaani, pointed out at a press conference that on issues such as the exchange of prisoners between the United States and Iran and the unfreezing of some Iranian foreign assets, Tehran has already received the necessary guarantees from the Washington government. He pointed out that because of unilateral US sanctions, Iran’s private foreign assets have been frozen by other countries.
On the same day, Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that Iran’s unfrozen funds in South Korea would be exchanged from Korean won to euros and deposited in a bank of one of the countries in the region within a few weeks at most. Iran will use these funds to purchase goods that are not subject to sanctions.
