Another violent confrontation has broken out in Dresden’s city center. According to the police, late Thursday afternoon on Dr.-Külz-Ring, three men and a woman got into an argument with a 23-year-old who, together with others, was manning an information stand for the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB).
The three men then beat the 23-year-old. The woman repeatedly insulted the 23-year-old. Passers-by then came to the man’s aid. At the same time, witnesses alerted the police.
Ten patrol cars rushed to the scene. The police were able to arrest the four German suspects in the immediate vicinity. They are a 37-year-old woman and three men aged 35, 36 and 37. They were temporarily taken into police custody. State security is investigating them for grievous bodily harm and insult.
The 23-year-old victim suffered injuries and had to be taken to hospital.
The State Security investigation is ongoing. Just on Tuesday evening, the police were deployed on a large scale following a fight near the Centrum Galerie in Dresden’s city center. We reported on this.
