Russia with an increased competitiveness rating – 2024-08-02 05:01:48

/ world today news/ The World Economic Forum (WEF) on Wednesday published in Geneva the new competitiveness rating, which includes 138 countries, writes “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”. According to the report, Russia has improved its position on the list by two points and now occupies 43rd place. As reported by the SIF headquarters, Russia currently occupies “the highest place in ten years during which we apply the current methodology”.

It noted that despite the recession of the past year, Russia “remains sufficiently stable in terms of its competitiveness”. This is partly the result of the strengthening of key indicators such as “the quality and quantity of education and the ability to innovate, along with the improvement of the internal business environment, indicated from the SIF headquarters.

Russia is in the rating between Panama and Italy. Among the EU countries, it also overtakes Portugal, Latvia, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia and Greece. Ukraine ranks 85th. Of the BRICS countries, China is in the highest position -28, India is at 39, South Africa at 47 and Brazil at 81. There are no changes in the top three this year: Switzerland, Singapore and the USA.
