Volunteers from the Mama Natura association continue their waste collection activities. They were this morning, Thursday August 1st, on Taaone beach in Pirae and among the volunteers of the day, Tom Frager, singer performing the famous song “Lady Melody”.
More and more volunteers are taking part in the work of the Mama Natura association. Its mission: cleaning polluted sites. This morning, on Taaone beach, among the volunteers there was Miss Dragon Meileen Foug Sung, accompanied by her first runner-up Angelina Madwasikin-Kartadinama. But also a dancer from the group Heikura Nui, winner of five prizes at the last Heiva. Or the singer Tom Frager, who received a rather warm welcome, as explained by Mélissa de Cagny, the treasurer of the Mama Natura association:
“It highlights our association even more, not just in the sense of just highlighting it, that’s not it. But it’s good that there are a lot of influencers, like Tom Frager today, who participates with us and who comes to give a little of his time. He could have gone to the beach or done something other than come and pick up trash. But he is with us, he participated in this action today.”

In three years of existence, the Mama Natura association has collected nearly 73 tons of waste. The volunteer Teiki, attacked last June in Papeete, is still hospitalized.
