Sad news comes to light today. The much-loved “Viennese legend” Karl Hofbauer has died.

There is currently great sadness in Vienna. The managing director and owner of the Hofbauer sailing school closed his eyes forever last Sunday, July 28, 2024. As was announced today, the “Viennese legend” died at the age of 66.
A successful entrepreneur
The sad news was announced by Press office Weltecho today, Thursday August 1, 2024, with a heavy heart to the media. The Hofbauer sailing school is probably known to everyone in Vienna. It is one of the most renowned and oldest sailing schools in all of Austria. Friends and acquaintances describe Hofbauer as extremely helpful. “He was always there for everyone and had an open ear,” he concludes.
