Libyan Minister of Transport explores opportunities with OLA Energy Maroc

OLA Energy Maroc received the Libyan Minister of Transport, Mohamed Salem Al-Chahoubi, as part of his official visit to Morocco. Accompanied by Ramzi Salim, Managing Director of OLA Energy Maroc, the Minister explored the company’s activities, its extensive network of service stations and its hydrocarbon supply strategy for the B2B, retail and aviation sectors.

Mr. Al-Chahoubi expressed the wish to strengthen bilateral exchanges and develop partnerships between the Libyan Ministry of Transport and OLA Energy Morocco. He congratulated the collaborators for their work and wished them success for their future initiatives.

This visit, marking the recognition of the strategic importance of OLA Energy Maroc in the hydrocarbons sector, provided an opportunity to discuss opportunities for cooperation between the company and Libyan companies, aimed at intensifying commercial and energy exchanges between the two countries, OLA Energy Maroc explained in a press release.

Mr. Al-Chahoubi’s visit comes after the recent consolidation of bilateral relations between Libya and Morocco. The minister also met with several Moroccan officials to discuss mechanisms for reopening air and sea links between the two nations.

Present in 18 African countries, OLA Energy is a major player in the energy sector in Africa. The company, which employs more than 1,500 people and generates approximately 20,000 indirect jobs, has a network of more than 1,300 service stations, 8 lubricant manufacturing plants, 60 fuel storage terminals and a presence in more than 50 African airports.
