Bipartisan request in Parliament for information on Mo crisis

(ANSA) – ROME, JULY 31 – From the Democratic Party, with group leaders Chiara Braga, to Action (Ettore Rosato), IV (Davide Faraone), 5 Star Movement (Agostino Santillo) and FDI with Gianfranco Calovini, they asked at the opening of the session of the Chamber – busy examining the bill on the training sector – that the government urgently report on the crisis in the Middle East, especially in light of what happened last night in Tehran. A request repeated in the Senate, busy with the Reconstruction decree. “Parliament must deal with these things”, Braga underlined, asking the Government “to report immediately on the situation in Lebanon” which can have “uncontrolled and devastating effects”. Rosato also asked that the government involve all political forces while Faraone, fully endorsing Braga’s request, indicated the time for the government’s information “today or tomorrow at the latest”. Calovini extended the request for information also on the vote in Venezuela as done by the opposition in the Senate who among other things expressed concern for the Italian contingent engaged in Lebanon. At Palazzo Madama, the president of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Commission, Stefania Craxi, proposed that Minister Tajani be heard in the Commission “to speed things up as much as possible”.
