We had expected that Israel was going to organize a devastating response after the death of twelve Druze teenagers bombed by a Hezbollah missile on a soccer field in the Golan. The tone used by Benyamin Netanyahu and his Minister of Defense left no doubt about the strength of the actions that would be carried out. They were deadly and, as usual, targeted leaders who were enemies of the Jewish State. No one knows what the impact of these works will be, which is in danger of setting the area on fire.
A real threat is rising in the Middle East
The air raids that took place killed the number 1 of Hamas who attended the swearing in of the new president of Iran in Tehran and one of the most respected Lebanese Hezbollah leaders in Beirut. The criticisms made by Iran, Palestinian President Abu Habbs, the Emir of Qatar, Syria, Iraq, Turkey and Russia were immediate. The latter warn of convergence in the region. Iran’s anger is visible as Ismaël Hanyeh is a guest of its government and officials in Tehran said the assassination would not go unanswered. In fact, they pointed to the branch of the Jewish state that, as usual, has not confirmed that they are involved in this work. The Palestinian official was the head of the political bureau of Hamas and was living in exile in Qatar. He was part of the team that led peace talks with the Israelis. Nevertheless, he had been in the sights of the Tel Aviv hawks since October 7. The latter criticized him for his humorous statements after the terrorist attack. This elimination should be placed in the context of the war waged by Israel in the Gaza Strip. There does not seem to be an end to the conflict and it may be the increase that the members of Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet choose.
