Travel journals at the arboretum

“Travel Diaries” at the Arboretum des Barres. Last weekend, the Barres arboretum opened its doors for an exceptional event with “Travel Diaries” drawing workshops.

During these two days, Jean-Marie Dudillieu, a drawing artist who is used to taking his students on artistic walks, took advantage of this beautiful space to organize strolls calling for a journey through nature. The principle is to draw what you see around you and the place lends itself to imagination.

Even though Saturday was rainy, the artists remained under the vault of a building and were able to indulge in their favorite pastime in the middle of this green setting. On Sunday, under the sun, the twelve students, including children, walked the paths of the arboretum to make beautiful “Travel Diaries”.

As a reminder, the Arboretum des Barres in Nogent-sur-Vernisson is open every weekend in August with guided tours at 3 p.m. and special events such as “The Arboretum under the stars” from Thursday, August 15 to Sunday, August 18.
