Judoka Clarisse Agbegnenou was the guest of “Quelle époque” on France this Tuesday, July 30, a few hours after her bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Since the start of the Paris Olympic Games, the majority of French medallists have appeared on the set of “Quelle époque” on France 2, presented by Léa Salamé. Clarisse Agbegnenou, bronze medallist in the -63 kg category in judo, was no exception to the rule.
“This is the beginning of the beginning”
However, the five-time world champion was not on set. Filmed remotely, she appeared alongside actress Claudia Tagbo and artist-comedian JoeyStarr. The two congratulated her several times while she was on air. While Agbegnenou was trying to express himself, JoeyStarr is seen kissing Claudia Tagbo on the cheek, in a scene judged “uncomfortable” by Internet users on social networks. “What a shame”, “a disgrace”, some commented.
“We have a magnificent champion, you are radiant. This is the beginning of the beginning. She will continue, will continue to amaze us. There, she is a little angry but the medal is beautiful”Claudia Tagbo finally assured.
“They are great,” Agbegnenou had previously commented about the two artists.
