Further postponement of the publication of the 2023 annual financial statements

Frankfurt am Main, July 31, 2024 – LIBERO football finance AG (“LIBERO”) hereby announces that the publication of the annual financial statements for the 2023 financial year will be further postponed. After it was already announced on May 31, 2024 that the publication of the annual financial statements would probably be postponed until July 31, 2024, the LIBERO Board of Directors now assumes that the publication will probably take place at the end of August 2024.
The background to the further postponement is the legal proceedings in Spain, which have not yet been finally settled, in connection with the partnership with FC Barcelona planned for 2023. LIBERO reported on this in its corporate news on May 31, 2024, in which it announced the postponement of the publication of the annual financial statements.
LIBERO is currently in advanced negotiations for an amicable termination of the legal proceedings. However, the notary appointments required for this are not scheduled until the beginning of August 2024. In its opinion, the Board of Directors continues to assume that, regardless of the outcome of the legal proceedings or the advanced negotiations on the amicable termination of the legal proceedings, there will most likely be no negative effects for LIBERO.
The Management Board currently assumes that it will probably become sufficiently clear by the end of August 2024 how the entire complex of legal proceedings can be settled amicably, so that the audit of the annual financial statements can then be completed on this basis and the 2023 annual financial statements can be published.
