Who is being sung to here? Who are you thanking? This is a favorable time for that, to sing and give thanks to all those beings who came from the North and South Santanderes, setting their eyes on this region of the Macdondian spirit, where did they encrypt their dreams, their wanderings, their strength and their endurance to create their families in this area located at the foot of the mountain that moves to create savannahs next to the largest natural pyramid in the world: the Sierra Nevada de Naomh they call Martha.
This is how Miller García arrived with his beloved wife and children, opening paths as he walked, taking on and giving everything to help his family move on forward in this region that appears on the banks of the River Guatapurí and Cesar, he came to stay, to put down those roots that he loves these lands as much as he can. In that continuous cycle, the time counted alternately, this hardworking man and independent father began to see his children grow year after year, forming themselves spiritually, emotionally , physically and academically like that Holy Family who loves the branches and the roots. of the trees extending above and below to form connections with other beings who became an extended family in these lands.
It wasn’t long until their children began to know as their own those sincere and regional songs such as Compae’ Chipuco, La Gota Fría, Nació mi Poesía, El Arcoíris, Dios no me deja, Rio Badillo among many others, they are connected in such a way that belonging appeared in them, the love for its waters, those precious rivers that come down from the Sierra to this Mother Earth to beat, capturing in the soul the culture, the music, the legends, that living heritage that is worth caring for, preserving, promoting.
Time runs and passes like the waters of the Guatapurí River and love is seen in other ways open their way with happiness and enthusiasm in the capital, this time exploring a career with a wide range of appeal, which would allow them to continue building and protecting the tangible and intangible heritage of these lands: their art, their culture, their material goods. and immaterial, its traditions, its Music, its wonderful and powerful creative and cultural industry.
Sandra Inés chose to train as an architect at the Piloto University in Colombia. He followed that path and soon found himself finishing and doing his training towards a master’s degree, this time in Historic Heritage Restoration at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (The Spain).
The clock continues to tick, in the blink of an eye twenty-five (25) years have passed that allowed this visionary architect, master of heritage, to gather treasures of knowledge in the field of work, ten ( 10) year in the area. administration in the public sector and fifteen (15) in the private company, developing in the process high abilities for planning, organization, management and control of projects, experience in the management of management indicators, with a unique level of leadership, powerful and incomparable. in work teams, full of humanistic skills to establish positive personal relationships.
As she was in her school, she is still today, always managing, implementing systematic methods, methods that promote quality, she is still the Sandra Inés that I loved and admired both at school and at the university: A healthy, transparent person, with a San Franciscan spirit, with a high sense of responsibility, commitment and dedication, sure, punctual, a wonderful friend and colleague, daughter, wife, mother and above all everything i: That soul with huge metal wings who knows what else usually comes from the soul: art, respect and love.
The heart’s desire is always fulfilled, but in the times, forms and manners of that great painter of ‘Love Love’ who created us all in his image and likeness. God will never leave us and place us where He sees fit until those goals are achieved that go beyond the limited mind of man, they are surrounded in the heart that can to do everything when he looks at that Christ who strengthens us. This is how the life and surroundings of Sandra Inés return to Valledupar, this time to manage a center named after her beloved river: Guatapurí. The challenge? Implement a commercial culture in large stores in a Shopping Center that everyone currently feels is a milestone and a reference for what we are: we are Guatapurí.
At that time, I was far from thinking that life would cross my path with Sandra Inés, although we graduated from the same school and university, I never thought about how co- a causal coincidence is going to bring together in that new challenge that gave life fifteen (15) years ago: manage the Guatapurí Shopping Center. It was her second year of managing the Shopping Center, she called me and called me to her office, José Nicolás Wild Zuleta accompanied me to that meeting, it was a warm meeting it was full of memories, laughter and especially dreams to weave in there. a place with the good name of Guatapurí, she had been monitoring my personal and professional journey, which led me that morning to do a procedure that I had never thought of: taking out of the drawers and virtually my sketches, sketches and other creative processes that I had been sharing on the social network Facebook, to give them a larger scale that would allow them to be displayed as works of art in the Shopping Center at level of national and international exhibitions.
That would change everything in my life, the fear was not long in coming, because it was to give status and level to the words of my mind when I bring the captivity to my heart through art, until taking out of the drawer of leisure and entertainment to affect the social fabric. José Nicolás and Sandra did not take long to surprise and frighten me, because by doing so there would be a stage that would break the standards seen so far. They both encouraged me and gave me leverage and Sandra Inés said: ‘Count on the Shopping Center!’. I looked into her eyes and I knew I was looking at someone who had to believe.
I left that meeting to design furniture and easels, to design posters, panels and all kinds of elements that would allow me to present that exhibition that Sandra Inés put forward for me. The result? What she saw, which had never happened before, the title of the show was “Macondo, Music and Legend”, it was held in the month of spring, the month of April, at night before the opening of Fèis Legend Vallenata and its success did not wait: it was resounding. From then until today, my life took a turn that took me to unimaginable places where I remember every time I hide the strength and temperament with which the heart’s desire was keep up
I continue to meet Sandra Inés on the roads, five (5) years ago we came together again to weave a Network, we wanted to unite all generations of the beloved school La Sagrada Familia brought together through a volunteer platform we call Red Colsafa, it has been a magical experience to unite alumni, graduates and former teachers in an adventure woven one day at a time where is the basis of always giving from art, respect and love, knowing with faith that God will not do that. leave us
The presence and influence of the Guatapurí Plaza Shopping Center is a reference and an engine that allows the development of the city of Valledupar and its surroundings to be measured, that the culture of commerce in large stores has been implemented in a way that today is part of the everyday landscape. The initiatives of responsibility and care for the Guatapurí River “Take care of us – Rio Guatapuri” promoted by the Shopping Center, headed by Sandra Inés, have made it worthy of the award: “Marketing Excellence – Award Latin American Shopping Center” in Lima, Peru, participation in forums where water is seen as a source of life, the continuous protection of the environment, the implementation of that civic culture inside and outside the Shopping Center has received recognition from local and national public and private organizations for business merit.
Like the waters of the Guatapurí River, they pass, they flow, Sandra Inés follows the course of the waters that flow within her, this time the compass of life points to another latitude , for love she demolishes life in those lands that she has pulsed It was carved and built to follow other paths, this time in other lands that promise the fulfillment of the dreams that making us Americans, this time Sandra Inés’s bet is to make her children’s dreams come true.
The guava tree of the soul and the heart is indescribable, Valledupar and the whole world need more creatures of Sandra Inés’ sincere, true and transparent way, I am sure, when the ego is put aside and to knit thinking about ourselves, that we can do. the earth itself is an earthly paradise and that is what Sandra Inés García Arias achieved by managing the Guatapurí Shopping Center in those fifteen years: believing once again that every dream is possible if woven we do it together.
