/ world as we speak information/ Lately, after an extended sickness, Maria Venceslavova / 1943 – 2019/ left us. She was among the many nice dramatic sopranos within the trendy Bulgarian opera theater.
A big, lovely, timbre-colored dramatic soprano voice of top quality, unquestionable musicality, intelligence, a magnificence on stage, an artist with the presence and confidence of a real prima donna, with radiance, typically, qualities not often discovered collectively as we speak. I feel its massive format was for the large phases and above all for Wagner. However destiny related her completely with the Ruse Opera, to which she gave her youth and expertise. On this stage, after graduating from the Metropolitan Music Academy, she created almost 40 roles of various types, authors and eras – from Mozart to Verdi and Mascani to Prokofiev and Vladigerov. And he began with essentially the most tough roles: Tosca, Aida, Lisa from “Girl of Spades”, Desdemona in “Othello”, Amelia in “Ball with Masks”, Elizabeth from “Don Carlos”, Senta in “The Flying Dutchman” by Wagner.
Among the many collection of Bulgarian heroines, Tsaritsa Maria from “Tsar Kaloyan” by Pancho Vladigerov, Maria Desislava from the opera written particularly for her by Parashkev Hadzhiev stand out, and among the many traditional photographs I might point out Girl Macbeth in “Macbeth” and Amelia Grimaldi from ” Simone Boccanegra” by Verdi, and particularly Tosca and Aida. In them she was extraordinarily expressive, extremely dramatic, she was primarily within the line of the picture, reaching / and conveying to the viewers!/ a robust inside pleasure above all within the vocal picture. On stage, it was correct, restrained, ecstatic, with out pointless actions and exterior results.
Collectively together with her husband, the creative and musical dramatic baritone Anastas Anastasov, she did greater than her roles, because the golden pages of the historical past of the Ruse Opera will report their joint appearances in: “Tosca”, “Aida”, “Macbeth”, The Flying Dutchman “, “Maria Desislava”. She gave the Bulgarian opera not solely her roles, but in addition her sons, two proficient singers with profitable careers at residence and overseas – the bass Orlin Anastasov and the baritone Venceslav Anastasov.
