An enormous fireplace destroys sheds

A fireplace broke out in a number of sheds within the Asser Noorderpark space on Friday evening.

The fireplace was found on Klenckestraat round 7:15 p.m. The fireplace brigades of Assen, Smilde, Rolde and Norg are on the scene to extinguish the hearth.

When the primary emergency providers arrived, the barns had been totally engulfed in flames. The flames unfold rapidly.

The fireplace creates a number of smoke. The Drenthe Security Division (VRD) has issued a NL Warning and advises native residents to maintain home windows and doorways closed, flip off air flow and avoid smoke.
