Jeroen Rietbergen is “grateful and relieved” that he is not going to be prosecuted within the sexual offense case surrounding The Voice of Holland. His attorneys Wout Morra and Menno van Gaalen stated this. On Wednesday it was introduced that the Public Prosecution Service (OM) is dismissing the case resulting from a scarcity of proof.
“Jeroen Rietbergen is grateful for the in depth investigation, and he’s relieved that after an extended battle his case has now been dismissed,” his attorneys say. “He’s extraordinarily grateful to the individuals who have continued to help him throughout a really troublesome time.”
Rietbergen, former band chief on the expertise present, was accused of inappropriate conduct by a former participant. Her lawyer, Sébas Diekstra, stated earlier on Wednesday that she was contemplating initiating an Article 12 process to pressure the judiciary to prosecute Rietbergen.
