The 14-year-old American television series Dallas follows the life of an oil tycoon family in Texas, the Ewings, on the family’s large estate called Southfork. The series began broadcasting in America in April 1978 and was shown on the CBS channel until May 1991.
In Hungary, it was shown by Magyar Televízió between 28 December 1990 and 24 October 1997, but since then the events of the Ewing family were shown on several channels.
The main characters became world stars, who had fame in the series. Many of them are no longer alive, and many have become old beyond recognition. We show what has happened to them since then!
Larry Hagman

The series starred Larry Hagman as the ruthless but hospitable Jockey Ewing, the eldest son of Jock and Ellie Ewing, and Bobby’s brother. He was the only character to appear in every episode of the original series without exception. Hagman was 47 years old at first and died of cancer in 2012 at the age of 81. His colleagues, Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy, publicly remembered him, as they were good friends with the actor.

Jockey’s first wife Samantha was played by Linda Gray until the end of the series. Her character had a turbulent marriage, eventually leaving her husband after a lot of cheating and drama, but she returned to the series several times over the years.

In the original version of Dallas, the character’s name was Sue Ellen, but in the Hungarian dub, she was given a different name due to her ambiguous sound. The charming actor played Jockey’s brother, Bobby Ewing. Patrick Duffy was only 29 years old at the time and millions of women loved him. A was a good boy among the brothers. Charlene Tilton left the series several times and then returned, but her character was finally written out in 1990 by the creators of the series.
