German media write that Porsche is developing a new seven-seat crossover with an electric engine, which will reach the market in 2027, to be the biggest model of the brand in this segment. Sources say the model, tentatively named K1 at the factory, will be positioned above the Cayenne and will receive next-generation technologies.
It is known that the car, which is likely to be available in seven and six (two different seats in the second row) seating arrangements, is built on the Scalable Systems Platform (SSP), equipped with a charging architecture 900V and will be compatible with the latest electronic assist technologies.
Porsche is keeping information about the powertrains, but there is talk that the K1 could get two or even three electric motors with a total output of more than 1,000 horsepower.
The new flagship will be produced at the Porsche factory in Leipzig, with the largest markets in the US and China.
