MODENA – When the doctors at the pediatric emergency room of the Modena hospital found themselves faced with her case, they immediately understood what had happened: the 12-year-old patient who showed up accompanied by her family had clear signs of sexual violence.

Thus began the story that has shocked Modena in recent days: a 12-year-old girl, resident in a locality in the province, was allegedly sexually abused by two other boys just older than her, aged 15-16. Within the walls of her house. The Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office has opened a case on the hypothesis of gang violence against a minor.

The hospital visit

The episode, as anticipated by Trc Modena, would have occurred in recent days, but it only emerged on Saturday when the 12-year-old who had found herself living this nightmare decided to overcome her fear and tell what had happened to her, before be taken to the hospital.

Violence within the walls of the home

It all started as a day with friends, little more than peers. The violence would, in fact, have taken place at the home of the girl who, together with a friend of hers, had invited the other two boys to her house, who after a series of advances would have abused her.

The complaint will be filed and the 12-year-old will certainly be the first to be heard, in a protected manner and in the presence of a psychologist, to begin to reconstruct the facts.
