This Friday, Lebanon submitted to France its response to its initiative to defuse the conflict with Israel, expressing reservations on a proposal to withdraw Hezbollah ten kilometers from the common border, political sources told AFP on Friday and diplomatic.
The plan notably proposes an end to violence on both sides and the withdrawal of Al Radwan forces, the elite unit of Hezbollah, and other armed groups ten kilometers from the border with Israel, according to Lebanese officials.
It stipulates that the United Nations Interim Force (UNIFIL) has complete freedom of movement in the region, that the Lebanese army plays an increased role there and that its troops be reinforced.
“The Lebanese response was developed in coordination with Hezbollah“, said a Lebanese official who requested anonymity.
