The KSW 94 gala will take place on May 11 in Gdańsk. One of the most interesting fights will be the fight between Arkadiusz Wrzosek and Artur Szpilka. It’s a fight with many flavors, one of them being fan issues.

Although Szpilka has been saying for a long time that he no longer wants to be associated with Wisła Kraków fans, he will not change the past. Wrzosek is an active supporter of Legia Warszawa, he regularly appears at matches in the capital and away.
Large groups of Legia fans travel beyond Wrzosko to various galas in the country and abroad. It will be no different in Gdańsk, because, as the kickboxer himself announced, a group of about 1,000 of his fans will appear in the Ergo Arena.
On the fourth day, the KSW federation unexpectedly announced the cancellation of the fan zone and the public weigh-in ceremony. “The KSW Federation informs that for reasons beyond our control, the Fan Zone before the XTB KSW 94 gala on the border of Gdańsk and Sopot, planned for May 10, has been canceled. The weigh-in ceremony will be moved to another place. The event will be closed to fans,” the statement said.
The Internet immediately went into uproar. The cancellation of the fan zone and the change of the location of the weigh-in ceremony were immediately linked to potential problems for fans. Especially since the federation had already had to deal with similar problems.
Five years ago, before the KSW 49 gala, the fans of Krystian Kaszubowski, who sympathizes with Arka Gdynia, were attacked by a group of Lechia Gdańsk hooligans. In 2017, Adam Wieczorek, associated with Ruch Chorzów, was withdrawn from the UFC fight card. During the High League gala, problems were caused by Elana Toruń’s hooligans who came to watch Denis Załęcki.
Wrzosek distanced himself from speculation
Wrzosek immediately distanced himself from this type of speculation on social media. “I would like to correct the nonsense in the context of tomorrow’s weigh-in ceremony, which is being written on social media by people including my rival’s partner. The Wrzosek – Szpilka fight is the co-main event of the KSW 94 gala. In the fight of the evening, the current champion – Adrian Bartosiński – and the number three in this weight category – Igor Michaliszyn – will fight for the welterweight belt.
