The Andalucía Sport+i program receives the award in the Inclusive Event category at the Eventex Awards 2024 – News

The Andalucía Sport+i program, from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Government of Andalusia, has received the award in the Inclusive Event category at the Eventex Awards 2024, the most important awards in the world of events and experiential marketing and that celebrate creativity, innovation and effectiveness in the industry.

This initiative, financed with funds from the European Union, aimed to promote gender equality and the inclusion of people with disabilities in sport, based on a complete program of activities in the eight Andalusian provinces.

A total of more than 2,500 participants, including boys and girls, women and people with some type of disability, have been part of Andalusia Sport+i, in 11 sports disciplines at various Andalusian sports facilities, with 8 ambassadors, renowned Andalusian athletes who They encouraged participation from the inspiring nature of their own personal success stories in sport; and in which eight street marketing actions have been developed.

As a final result, Andalucía Sport-i has made visible concepts such as inclusion, equality, respect, camaraderie or adaptation through sport, from events where there has been a good atmosphere and also the desire to improve oneself.

The program also had a very powerful creative communication campaign on social networks and the media, with a creative and brand design, with the aim of promoting sports practice in women, girls and people with disabilities, showing them the full variety of options that they already have within their reach and the opportunities that sport offers them, and raise awareness and bring the concept of inclusion closer to society.

Based on a dynamic and integrative approach, ‘Sport+i’ has sought to position sport as a privileged tool for education in values ​​through which to encourage the participation and increase the visibility of women, girls and people with disabilities, strengthening the links of team and reducing barriers and inequalities.

The sports that have been practiced in the program were Badminton, Basketball, Soccer, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Choreographed Gymnastics, Rugby, Canoeing, Paddle Tennis, Tennis, Climbing and Functional Training.

The sports facilities where the different Andalucía Sport+i activities were carried out were the La Garza de Linares Sports Park, in Jaén; the CEAR of Rowing and Canoeing La Cartuja in Seville; the Sierra Morena Paddle Club in Córdoba; the Granada Youth Stadium; the Javier Imbroda Sports City in Malaga; the El Toyo Public Golf School in Almería; the Eslora Nautical Activities Club of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, in Cádiz; and the Huelva Sports City and the Carolina Marín Sports Palace, in the capital of Huelva.
