The athlete Daniel Marcos was doing very well in the field of mobile telephony and his taste for mixed martial arts began at the age of 21 at the Perro Sarnoso gym in Breña. What started as a kind of hobby turned into an obsession and desire to improve for a sport that has as many followers as detractors.
Until one day he left everything to be a professional wrestler.
From 2015 to date, he has faced many blows and more than one challenge, until he signed a reality at 30 years old: Daniel Marcos, “Sóncora”, has put his name in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The data does not lie or exaggerate: Daniel Marcos has won 15 battles. He is undefeated and eager to go for more.
“I seek to be world champion in the UFC, all my energy and efforts are in this goal,” says the mixed martial arts fighter, whose words denote a security supported by facts (one last: at the end of July he defeated the experienced Davey Grant at UFC London).
“Practicing martial arts has given me discipline. For everything you want to achieve, talent is 1% and discipline is 99%. “I think some type of martial art should be practiced in all schools.”
In this regard, he adds: “Our children and, especially, our girls, have to learn to defend themselves and martial arts help persuade the possible aggressor. It is not a kind world for them.”
For Daniel Marcos, the UFC is a dream come true and he does not lose perspective, he does not get distracted by the distractions of fame. He knows like few others that his laurels are legitimized by effort and discipline.
“This is a sport, but also a lifestyle based on discipline. At a professional level, this sport requires sacrifices and I want to be world champion.”
At this rate, Daniel will make it.
