Cuban model Vanessa Rodríguez was crowned “Queen” of the First Edition of the Wonderful Teen International beauty pageant, which was held this week in El Salvador.
The teenager, at just 15 years old, managed to raise the name of the Island, and thanks to her beauty and poise she managed to be the winner of the contest, which took place from April 21 to 28.
Through social networks, the young woman expressed her happiness for having won the title, and shared a photograph in which she can be seen with the sash and crown that accredit her.
“Cuba we did it! I deeply appreciate everyone who has supported me in this incredible and wonderful experience. “I feel extremely proud to be the first to obtain the title of Wonderful Teen International,” she expressed on her Instagram account.
The contest included the participation of models representing the United States, Panama, Mexico, Peru, Costa Rica, Paraguay, Portugal, Brazil, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Cuba and El Salvador.
During their stay, the candidates had the opportunity to visit various tourist places and the rich gastronomy of the place. The contest had several locations for photo sessions, and was organized by Francisco Cortez, director of the National Beauty Contest (CNB).
Vanessa Rodríguez was received upon her return to Miami, with great enthusiasm by her family and friends, who were waiting for her at the Miami International Airport with Cuban flags in an emotional meeting.
Later, the young woman, originally from Villa Clara, was seen as a guest at Miss Dayana’s birthday celebration, where she took photos with the Cuban artist and with the reggaeton singer Lenier Mesa.
