Russian dictator Vladimir Putin used the May 9 parade on Red Square in Moscow to promote war against Ukraine and threaten the West with nuclear weapons.
As Bild reports, more than 1,000 participants in the war in Ukraine came to the parade. The leader of the ceremony said that the ground forces, “as in the harsh years of the Great Patriotic War, step by step are liberating the world from accomplices of neo-Nazism and international terrorism.” During the tour of various divisions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the presenter repeatedly mentioned the “heroes” of the so-called SVO. For example, it was said that they are now “liberating” Ukrainian cities, in particular, Kyiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv.
During his speech, the dictator honored the memory of “comrades who fell in the fight against neo-Nazism in the righteous fight for Russia” and said that “the effort to justify the current followers of the Nazis is part of the general policy of the Western elites.”
It is noted that a few days ago, Russia announced the preparation of nuclear exercises near the borders of Ukraine, and on May 9, Putin used the parade for new nuclear threats. “Russia will do everything to prevent a global conflict. But at the same time, we will not allow anyone to threaten us. Our strategic forces are always on alert,” the Russian leader said.
Then, three “Yars” missile complexes, which are part of the Strategic Nuclear Forces of the Russian Federation, passed through Red Square. The host of the ceremony called them “a formidable force of nuclear deterrence” and noted the ability to “guaranteedly hit a target at any point on the globe.”
“This year, the Russian regime is using the holiday for military propaganda against Ukraine. Then the republics of the USSR defended themselves against the invasion of the Nazis. Today, Russia is waging a brutal aggressive war against Ukraine,” the German publication notes.

Vladimir Putin is in the spotlight – news worth reading
It will be recalled that John Kirby, the coordinator of the US National Security Council for strategic communications, in response to nuclear threats from Russia, advised Vladimir Putin a much easier way to protect his troops from Western weapons. In particular, he offered the dictator the easiest way to avoid the death of Russian servicemen – to simply withdraw his troops from Ukraine.
Earlier, Putin instructed the Russian army to conduct exercises with the use of tactical nuclear weapons. The date of the start of the exercises is not disclosed, it is only known that they will take place “in the near future”. According to the representative of the Kremlin, Dmytro Peskov, the training will be held in “response to provocative statements and threats of some Western officials”, in particular, in connection with the statements of some Western leaders regarding the possible dispatch of their troops to Ukraine.
