Judiciary orders 9 months preventive detention against former Inabif village coordinator in Ucayali

The Judiciary, through the Third Preparatory Investigation Court of the Court of Ucayali, ordered the preventive confinement for nine months in the Pucallpa prison of Néstor Meneses Huanio, former coordinator of the village of Inabif in Yarinacocha, in relation to the investigation that was carried out. It is followed by the crime of inappropriate touching to the detriment of a minor.

In the opinion of the judge, Irene Hidalgo Armas, the prosecutor’s request met the requirements for the imposition of this coercive measure, such as, for example, that the possible sanction to be imposed exceeds 5 years, that there are elements of conviction that link the accused with the facts reported, the existence of a risk of flight or obstruction of justice and that the measure is proportional.

On March 16, at midday, one of the residents of the Ikaro teenagers in their office to give them the clothing. According to the victim, the accused, after giving her a pair of shorts and making her try them on, asked her to turn around and at that moment he took a photograph of her making gestures of admiration and astonishment. The teenager, feeling uncomfortable, thanked her for the garment and left.

On March 18 at 6 p.m., the minor was with another resident outside the defendant’s office to talk to her about an issue regarding her mother, when, according to the prosecutor’s thesis, Meneses Huanio approached her from behind and He would have touched her shoulder and lowered his hand to her buttocks, remaining in that position for several minutes. The teenager decided to tell what happened on March 19 to the lawyer of the Women’s Emergency Center, to whom she also told that the coordinator, since she arrived, “had strange attitudes such as grabbing her face with both hands, scratching her head, among others.” ».

In the Ikaro Xobo village, there live 44 minors, both men and women, in a condition of lack of family protection.
