Everyone pretends to love Slavi and want him to fail – 2024-05-09 08:15:59

/ world today news/ “Everyone pretends to love Slavi, because they very much hope that he will form a government and end up as a political project. Everyone wants him to form a cabinet and fail, because he will function in the context of continuous consultations, consensus and appeals to other political forces”. Sociologist Andrey Raichev stated this to the BNR.

According to him, if time is to be gained or there is a crisis in the country, it is worth stabilizing the situation. But the situation is not like that now. Although early elections are a gamble and none of the parties can predict whether they will increase their support, Raichev believes that there will be such a vote in mid-July.

GERB has finally clarified its line and is following it – we are waiting for you to present yourself. According to the sociologist, indications that Borisov’s party and “There is such a people” are preparing for early elections are the fact that “Boyko Borisov very lightly gave up his deputy seat, and Slavi Trifonov – also very lightly, announced that he is entering Parliament. These two things are an indicator that somewhere in the middle of July there will be new elections”, said Raychev categorically.

The situation of the BSP is extremely difficult and there is a danger that Bulgaria will be left without a left or with a very weak left, and Kornelia Ninova does not react to the situation in Bulgaria and in her party.

“There is such a people” has the intuition that it will gain much more support in the next vote. DPS is unlikely to achieve anything different, however VMRO certainly wants a second attempt. Vasil Bozhkov also has a real chance to enter the parliament. “But these elections are a big gamble. It seems to me, however, that Slavi Trifonov has decided to do exactly that and become the first political force,” commented Andrey Raichev.

According to him, it is not reasonable to underestimate GERB, because Borisov’s party is in “very good political condition”.

The only one who insists on a coalition government is Nikolay Hadzhigenov from “Stand up! Get out!”. However, he managed to make amends with his coalition partners and offend everyone else, because he says: “We will negotiate with them in the sense that they will accept our terms.” “This is not an expression of any malice, he is simply extremely inexperienced in politics and because he feels the situation is a continuation of the square. This will not end well for him,” predicted Raychev.

According to him, there is also another sub-option – that GERB proposes a government, but it does not pass. If Slavi returns the mandate quickly, it will throw the president into a big dilemma, because he can hand the mandate to Democratic Bulgaria or theoretically to “Stand up! Get out!”, but the BSP is a third force and it is illogical not to give a mandate to Ninova. Then in Nineveh, fear may prevail over common sense and they may try to form a government. She can get the support of GERB, so that there is no option of going to presidential elections with an official cabinet. Something that GERD has been struggling with for a year.

Andrey Raichev explained this fear of GERB by making it difficult to vote for Borisov’s party. “There is a bit of an irrational relationship between the two generals. Whatever Radev does, Borisov cannot stand it, and vice versa. They went far in their personal dislike,” commented the sociologist.

For 10 years, Bulgaria has been ruled by centrists, and this is not very good. The majoritarian system is the shortcut to a presidential republic. “One-man power in our country is Bulgaria’s most comfortable political garment – Battenberg, Ferdinand, Boris Todor Zhivkov. And none of the four have fallen from power. They fell only because of a geopolitical catastrophe. Majoritarianism leads exactly that way. The social psychology of a Bulgarian is very resistant and this is my biggest fear”, explained Raychev.

“Borisov was not a dictator in any way. He constantly pampers some social strata, but there can be no mention of any kind of dictatorship and lack of freedom of speech,” the sociologist was categorical.
