The Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) and Repsol Peru will jointly organize the regional team championships of the Under-13 and Under-15 categories. This initiative will allow these representatives to be more prepared for the upcoming international national team competitions starting in 2025.
Through the Technical Unit for Minors (UTM), directed by José “Chemo” del Solar, the FPF has initiated a comprehensive recruitment program at the national level, in an organized, objective and transparent manner, which starts with a universe of 15,500 young people. footballers who compete in the various national tournaments organized by the FPF.
The leading energy company in the country will contribute for 3 years to the organization of the U-13 and U-15 regional team championships, covering the expenses of the logistical needs for the transportation of young soccer players, their food and lodging, as well as the organization of the parties in the various stages of the project.
Thus, starting in 2024, for the first time, 25 regional teams in the Under-13 and Under-15 categories will compete to access the final phase, which considers the participation of 5 macro-regional teams and an average of 130 players for each category.
“This is a long-term project, which seeks to identify the players with the greatest potential, not only from Lima, but from all regions of the country, recruit them and integrate them into professional teams.
