A 3-year-old child died in the parking lot of the Walibi amusement park in Wavre on Tuesday afternoon after being hit by a car. This is reported by the public prosecutor’s office of Walloon Brabant.
The boy was walking in the parking lot with his parents and 11-year-old brother around 5:20 p.m. when a driver accidentally hit him. The toddler from La Bruyère, in the province of Namur, was transferred to the hospital in Ottignies, where his death was diagnosed.
The public prosecutor’s office has requested a forensic team with a medical examiner. The 41-year-old driver from Namur has now been subjected to an alcohol test, which turned out to be negative.
