The greatest difficulties occurred in the commune of Machalí, El Cobre highway, since from kilometer 12 snow began to fall, which meant that many vehicles could not move forward, as well as rolling stones on the route. Carabineros arrived at the scene calling on people not to reach this sector and expose themselves to situations that they regret.
Due to weather conditions, traffic on the El Cobre Highway was suspended during the afternoon of this Tuesday, Guindal sector. Municipal personnel arrived at the sector, in addition to police work due to the risk due to weather conditions.
Snow also fell in the commune of Codegua, La Leonera sector. In Codegua and Coltauco, significant street flooding occurred, which motivated municipal teams to work on the ground.

Regarding the interruption of electricity supply, 1,662 clients have been reported affected at the regional level, with the most affected commune being Rancagua with 1,095 clients, Las Cabras with 204 affected clients, Rengo with 178 and Malloa with 79 affected clients. The supply has been replenished during the course of this Tuesday.
EL COBRE HIGHWAY INTERRUPTED
Carabineros reported that due to the bad weather front that affects the commune of Machalí and, in response to the intense snowfall in the Coya slope sector, the El Cobre Highway was closed at the intersection with Calle 13 de November (Cruce El Guindal), located at kilometer 10 of said highway. Traffic detours are being carried out along alternative routes.
The community was asked not to go up to this sector and to drive defensively, paying attention to the weather and terrain conditions to avoid accidents on the different routes due to bad weather.
