There has been a shooting incident in the central area of Stockholm, on the island of Södermalm. One person is injured.

One person has been shot in Stockholm’s Södermalm on Monday evening.
The Swedish police received an alert about the situation at around 18:30.
– One person has a gunshot wound. We have not arrested the suspected perpetrator, says the police spokesman Daniel Wikdahl According to Expressen.
Police are currently working in the area.
– It’s about securing witnesses and life-saving measures, Wikdahl says.
“Someone hits the metal”
According to Expressen, a witness who was there says that there are dozens of police cars, an ambulance and two ambulances. He also describes hearing the sound of a helicopter.
– It sounded as if someone had hit metal, another person who was there says.
A large area is cordoned off so that evidence is not lost. Those living inside the isolated area are not allowed to leave their homes.
Södermalm is one of Stockholm’s busiest tourist areas and the area is also popular with Finns.
