May 9 5 p.m. The opening night of the painting exhibition “Images and thoughts for the soul” of artist, poet, sculptor and jewelry maker Janina Buzūnaitė-Žukaitienė will be held at the Jurgis Kunčinas public library in Alytus (Seirijų str. 2), where a large number of guests are waiting. Readers will participate and delight with dreamy poems: Alfonsas Mekionis (poet), Eugenijus Rakauskas (actor), Ona Gudaitytė (actress). Our friends – the Alytus Youth Center (teacher I. Vaitkevičienė) will invite you to enjoy the loud sounds of the piano.
About the developer: Janina Buzūnaitė-Žukaitienė comes from Dzūkija and here she perfectly reveals herself in her multifaceted creativity – jewelry maker, writer, painter. Her paintings were exhibited in numerous personal exhibitions in various cities of Lithuania, a woman who did not study painting anywhere even became a member of the Canadian Federation of Artists. To date, Janina has held more than thirty personal exhibitions of her paintings. Lithuanian art critics said that the artist’s works are similar to the works of the American artist Georgia O’Keeffe. Art critic Romualdas Alekna noticed that there are never repeated motifs in the artist’s paintings.
