The General Commander of the Police, Víctor Zanabria, clarified that no request has been submitted to remove the head of the High Complexity Crime Investigation Division (Diviac), PNP Colonel, Harvey Colchado.

In statements to the press, he indicated that the changes or movements of personnel are made by the Human Resources Directorate according to an evaluation made by the institution’s officials. “There is no request from anyone, because no one can ask for a change, it would be influence peddling,” he said.

He also indicated that he is not aware of any administrative procedure against the PNP colonel, Harvey Colchado, since there would have to be a disciplinary report on an act contrary to his function.

The statements came after the Prime Minister, Gustavo Adrianzén, said that he could not rule out a possible removal of the head of the Diviac due to the raid on the home of President Dina Boluarte.
