The three-time sailing world champion returned

De Trazegnies was proclaimed champion in the World Cup held from December 3 to 9 at the Coconut Grove Sailing Club in Miami, with a total score of 42, at the end of the 12 regattas.

The national sailing athlete, Jean Paul de Trazegnies, was received by personnel from the Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD) at the airport, after winning the Sunfish World Championship for the third time, in the United States.

Upon his arrival, the member of the IPD Athlete Support Program (PAD) received a standing ovation from the public and was moved by the warm reception.

“I have felt all the good vibes from the IPD and everyone who supports me to achieve this trophy for the third time in my career. Everything turned out well, it is gratifying to see that so much effort brought us this great result,” he expressed excitedly.

De Trazegnies was proclaimed champion in the World Cup held from December 3 to 9 at the Coconut Grove Sailing Club in Miami, with a total score of 42, at the end of the 12 regattas.

The podium was completed by the Ecuadorian Jonathan Martinetti (47) with the silver, while the bronze went to the local Conner Blouin (52).

He had previously been crowned in the 2018 and 2022 editions, in addition to recently winning the silver medal at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games.
