On the way to the Eurocalp, Koumoundourou focuses on the economy and Justice, as well as deconstructing the “blue” propaganda
His engines rev up SYRIZA as we enter the final stretch for the polls on June 9, which, as they say from Koumoundourou, can be the first step in turning the political scene around.
The Organizing Office is fully prepared and alert. In the next few days, it is expected that the leaflets will be printed and the pre-election booths will be set up in small and large urban centers. Ballots have been printed, election commissions are formed in each prefectural office and the group of electoral representatives is being prepared.
At the same time, the Political Secretariat, in consultation with the Organization, the prefectures and the candidates, arranges pre-election events literally all over the country.
Stefanos Kasselakis is in Corfu after his tour in the Aegean. In the next period of time he will tour Epirus, while the program also includes a visit to Thrace on the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of the region.
Both Steph. Kasselakis and the candidates will plow the whole of Greece. Other high-ranking officials have entered the pre-election battle, such as the coordinator of the Organization Yiannis Voulgarakis, who has visited organizations in Attica, Ioannina and Crete.
“To prove who Mitsotakis is with”

SYRIZA’s proposals include a ceiling on the profit on food, industrial goods, agricultural supplies, electricity and fuel, imposing an extraordinary levy on the excess profits of banks, reducing the Excise Tax (Excise Tax) on fuel, zeroing the VAT on basic goods (meat, milk, honey, etc.), general reduction of VAT, support for farmers, reduction of the cost of the card for unlimited journeys in public transport, strengthening of the mechanism for imposing fines for obscene profit phenomena and creation of an electronic register of offenders to be excluded from public tenders.
In SYRIZA, they know very well that a large portion of the citizens vote… based on their pockets. All of the above, combined with the proposals for tax cuts, show SYRIZA’s clear aim to appeal to working people and pensioners as well as the so-called middle class, which in the past had turned its back on the party.
“Are you petite? Self employed; Freelance; Merchant; Tax filing time is approaching. You will tell me “I will do it later”. Yes, but I will tell you that on June 9th you vote. So here’s a suggestion. Call your accountant before you vote. Find out exactly how much more you will pay with the new tax Hatzidakis – Mitsotakis. Because as they say… after removal from the treasury and the ballot box, no mistake is recognized” said the head of the Economy department Nikos Pappas in his message.
Clear message to the progressive world
“The embrace of the Mitsotakis government with far-right elements, the lawlessness, the cover-up and the attempt to manipulate the Justice have led to a complete deregulation of the functioning of the Greek Justice. Kyriakos Mitsotakis is the prime minister during his days the leader of Golden Dawn was released from prison,” Steph emphasized. Kasselakis, sending a clear message to progressive citizens ahead of the European elections.

The slogan “Justice everywhere” starred in Alexis Tsipras’ election campaign last year and it seems that Stef does too. Kasselakis wishes to emphasize this specific area. Besides, the qualitative data of the opinion polls show that the majority of society does not trust the Justice and it is obvious that in SYRIZA they want to show that they can bring changes in the right direction.
The lies of the ND
In Koumoundourou they may see a revival of the anti-SYRIZA front with the participation of the progressive parties, but the main opponent remains the ruling Right. Both the lies of the “blue” faction and its political figures are targeted.
A typical example is the rhetoric of the Minister of Justice Giorgos Floridis that those involved in Mati were tried with the most favorable provisions of the SYRIZA Criminal Code. Voula Kehagia gave him a complete answer: “The redemption of the sentence, which was abolished by SYRIZA, was reinstated with the law 5090/2024 by Mr. Floridis who continues to lie. Now those responsible would be in prison.”
Another example is the statements of the government representative that SYRIZA is responsible for the release of Michaloliakos!
In recent days, special mention was made of the unacceptable statements of the Deputy Minister of Health Dimitris Vartzopoulos which justify the femicides, of the homophobic statements of the MP Dimitris Kyriazidis, of the MEP candidate Vicky Flessa who claimed that for Tempi “we are all to blame”, for Eleonora Meletis, whom SYRIZA calls “Kassidiaris’ hymn-teller”, but also for Giorgos Autias who campaigned with the slogan “fatherland – religion – family”.
