Ipswich Town only needed to take a point at home to bottom side Huddersfield Town to gain promotion to the Premier League.
Last week, league leaders Leicester secured promotion – and now it is clear that Ipswich will join them.
Barely half an hour into the match, Wes Burns got the chance in the penalty area and scored 1-0 to wild crowd cheers.
Omari Hutchinson made it 2-0 at the start of the second and Ipswich also pressed for a third goal, but the final score read 2-0.
Ipswich is thus making a comeback in the Premier League after 22 years. In the 2001/2002 season, they were eliminated after finishing in 18th place.
The progress is made even more remarkable as the team were newcomers to the Championship this season.

Audit firm Deloitte has stated that the move is worth around SEK 1.8-3.5 billion and it depends on whether Ipswich stays or not. A large part of the sum is linked to television rights.
