Just like last year, it was Ebba Tulu Chala who took home the men’s victory in the 10k race around Kungsholmen. Read all about this year’s podiums.
Ebba Tulu Chala from Keep Up RC thrives in the Stockholm sun. In 2023, he was the first man across the finish line in the Kungsholmen round’s mile race, and he repeated the feat this year as well. His time in this year’s race, 29:47, was also just five seconds off his personal best that he set earlier this spring.
Hässelby’s Andreas Jansson came in second, just over a minute behind victorious Ebba Tulu Chala, when he crossed the finish line in 30:58. And in third place came Spårvägen’s Kalle Berglund in a time of 31:19.
On the women’s side, there was a win for Högby IF through Hanna Lindholm, who got the winning time of 34:11, which was 24 seconds faster than runner-up Evelina Henriksson from IFK Umeå, who improved her personal record by just over a minute. She got the time 34:35.
Johanna Bäcklund from Runacademy IF came in third in a time of 35.21.
Fanny and David won the half marathon
The ladies’ half marathon was won by Fanny Schulstad, who runs for YMCA Örebro, and we write the winning time as 1:19:28. Just over a minute later, Falu IK Athletics’ Jenny Björnberg crossed the finish line, the time was 1:20:47. And in third place Linda Morin from Terrible Tuesdays AC who finished in 1:26:25, just over half a minute slower than her time from April.
Högby IF’s David Nilsson finished first in the men’s half marathon in 1:08:43, more than two and a half minutes ahead of runner-up Adam Ekholm of Mantra Sport who clocked 1:11:17, an improvement on his personal best by almost two and a half minutes. Third came Erik Lagerlöf from Terrible Tuesdays AC, who finished in 1:12:04.
