Muscat: More than 300 students appeared in the NEET exam held in Oman. The test center was the Muscat Indian School. The students entered the examination center after checking all the criteria prescribed by the authorities.
Admission to the exam center was from 9.30 am for the exam which started at 12.30 pm Oman time. Some students including Malayalees from Sur, Salala and Buraimi had arrived in Muscat for the exam on Friday and Saturday. Many Gulf countries, including Oman, were left out when the NEET exam center was announced earlier this year. The parents also said they are happy that test centers have been approved in six Gulf countries, including Oman, after a long period of uncertainty.
Students had mixed reactions to the test. Subjects were easy for most people. The students said that there were no major problems as the questions were straightforward. Compared to last year, there has been an increase in the number of examinees from Oman this year. Last year, 269 people from Oman had registered for the test.
