The ensemble of Bulgaria won a gold medal in three bars and two balls and a bronze medal in five hoops at the individual apparatus finals of the first European Rhythmic Gymnastics Cup in Baku (Azerbaijan), BTA reported.
Magdalina Minevska, Sofia Ivanova, Kamelia Petrova, Rachel Stoyanov and Margarita Vasileva played their composition with ribbons and balls exceptionally well and became champions with a score of 33,900 points.
The silver medal went to Italy with 33,700, and in third place are the representatives of Azerbaijan with 29,950 points.
On five hoops, the Bulgarian women were evaluated with 37,750 points (difficulty 21.6, performance 7,750, artistry 8,400). Thus, the graduates of Vesela Dimitrova and Yasena Stoineva, who placed fourth in the all-around, won the bronze in this final.
The Israeli team became the champion with 38,950 points, and Italy came in second place with 38,050.
So far, the national women have eight awards (five gold, two silver, one bronze) from the tournament, after Stiliyana Nikolova became the women’s champion yesterday, and Bulgaria took silver in the girls’ team. In the finals today, Kalein has gold in ball and ribbon, silver in hoop, and Nikolova is first in clubs.
From 14:50 to 18:00 today are the girls’ finals with the participation of Dara Malinova and Magdalena Valkova.
