We are close to having defined the eight teams classified for the Clausura 2024 Quarterfinals. Last Thursday, March 2, 2024, the first two games of the Play In were played. The first game was between Necaxa and Querétaro, a match that The Rayos ended up winning from eleven steps to advance to the second game of the Play In.
The second match to be played was Pachuca vs Pumas, the game ended up being decided from eleven steps and it was the university team that managed to secure its ticket to the Liguilla by winning on penalties.
In this way, there are already seven teams classified for the Clausura 2024 league and with it, also three defined crosses: Cruz Azul will face Pumas, Toluca against Chivas, while Rayados and Tigres will sign another edition of the Clásico Regio.
The last place will be disputed between the Tuzos and Necaxa. The team that I managed to win is going to face América in the Quarterfinals.

This is how we would have a National Classic
The only way the National Classic can take place in the semifinals of Clausura 2024 is if América beats Pachuca or Necaxa (it depends on the team that qualifies), that Cruz Azul manages to beat Pumas and that the Chivas team defeats Toluca .
Thus the semifinals would be América vs Chivas and Cruz Azul against the winner of the Clásico Regio between Rayados vs Tigres.
In this way, it would be the fourth National Classic to be played so far this year since they met twice in the Round of 16 of the Concacaf Champions Cup and on matchday 12 of Clausura 2024.
