The journey of the journey ends in the Marche Genea Lanzara in the Promotion Playoffs for Serie A Gold. The kids trained by coaches Mayon they lost in Game 2 to the home team Camerano handballinterrupting the dream of reaching the top flight in the quarter-finals.
In the first leg match the Salerno players held their own against their more experienced opponents over the course of the sixty minutes of play, then closing the match staged within the friendly walls of the Palestra Palumbo with the final score of 26-22; in the return match the Salerno team was unable to keep up with their opponents, who deservedly earned the pass to the semi-final by closing the match at the end of 39-18. In the Marche region, captain Milano and his teammates had to deal with numerous absences and a subpar performance, factors that allowed the home team to channel the match in their favor already at the end of the first part of the game, when the teams went into the locker rooms on the score of 20 – 11.
Genea Lanzara, in the 2024/2025 season, will therefore once again be at the starting line of the Serie A Silver. In the meantime, the very young rossoblu, after a short period of break, will be awaiting preparation for the Under 20 Final Eight, scheduled in Abruzzo from 5 to 9 June. The Salerno team will start again with the title of reigning Italian Champions, with the aim of repeating themselves and not losing the tricolour. In the qualifying round, Genea Lanzara will meet again Funds and will then address, in order, the Brixen and the Cassano Magnago.
The top two qualifiers from each group will meet in the semi-finals on Saturday 8 June. The following day the Finals at La Casa della Handball of Chieti.
