The Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations (MIMP) will expand the coverage of its care services in more districts nationwide. The Chief of the Cabinet, Gustavo Adrianzén Olaya, in his investiture speech before the Congress of the Republic, announced that the expansion of coverage will also occur in rural areas thanks to the creation of 7 new locations of the Rural Attention Service (SAR). ) in different areas of the VRAEM that involves Junín, Cusco, Apurímac, Ayacucho and Huancavelica.
Through these SARs, specialized and interdisciplinary care with cultural relevance will be provided to more than 4 thousand people who are victims of violence in rural areas.
Autonomy and participation
One of the ways to prevent and rescue women from the cycle of violence is to achieve their economic autonomy and inclusion in development. For this reason, the MIMP has created 26 networks of women entrepreneurs and businesswomen at the national level to encourage their development and strengthen their capacities.
The goal for July 2026 is to achieve the growth of 6,975 women through their preparation in topics of economic autonomy, financial education and circular economy.
The Multisector Strategy “Governing Together” created in March 2023 will be strengthened to provide comprehensive technical assistance in public management to women who hold elected positions in regional and local governments, thereby contributing to the good performance of their administrations.
The goal for 2024 is to ensure that 100% of women authorities (Governors, Vice Governors, provincial and district mayors) and 20% of provincial and district councilors at the national level strengthen their capacities in public management.
Girls, boys and adolescents
In coordinated work with the ministries of Education, Health, Justice and Human Rights, National Police, Public Ministry and regional and local governments, the MIMP will approve and implement the multisector strategy for the prevention and attention of any type of violence against girls, boys and adolescents.
