Villa Carrara, the reopening of the park is postponed

The park of villa Carrara will remain closed until May 10th: this is the decision taken after the first maintenance intervention was started which, evidently, proved to be more complex given the extreme degradation of the space in the heart of Pastena. The staff of the Social Policies sector raised the alarm about the conditions of the green area of ​​the historic residence and, after a series of inspections, urged the Green, Parks and Water Network sector “to an extraordinary maintenance intervention of the greenery and to the planning of related periodic maintenance interventions”.

Meanwhile, last Tuesday the municipal police also arrived on site (prompted by a request for intervention which later turned out to be unfounded) and carried out a further check the conditions of the external area. Conditions such as to require “the closure of the park of Villa Carrara to proceed with redevelopment works of the areas outside the Villa, through sanitization and extraordinary cleaning interventions, in order to give citizens back a green space that they can frequent and live in complete safety”, it was specified in the closure order.
