The police have ended the search for a fifteen-year-old girl from Ústí nad Labem, whom they had been looking for after leaving home since Wednesday. Today, she was found dead near Tisza in Ústeck.

The girl left home on Tuesday and did not return. The police began searching for her on Wednesday evening, and dog handlers and a helicopter with thermal imaging were involved in the search in the Ore Mountains above the regional capital. This morning, the police returned to the area around Petrovice in Ústeck and continued the search.

“Unfortunately, we found the girl we were looking for today without signs of life,” police spokeswoman Veronika Hyšplerová said before noon. According to her, the police will not disclose more detailed information regarding the family.
According to the police, citizens could also be involved in the search on the spot. The meeting place was the municipal office in Tisza, from where the police sent people into the field during the search.
