Linking accounts is essential to protect players and maintain security, which offers PlayStation and PlayStation Studios games. This is a way to protect against abuse by allowing you to block players who engage in such behavior.
If you play Helldivers 2 on multiple platforms, this might not be a big problem for you. However, if you do not have a PlayStation Network account, you will need to create one and link it to your Helldivers 2 Steam account. As a result, from May 6, all new HELLDIVERS 2 players on Steam must link their Steam account to their PlayStation Network account.
Existing players can continue to play without a linked account until Thursday, May 30. They will then be asked to link their account each time they log in. Tuesday, June 4, is the deadline to connect Helldivers 2 Steam accounts to PlayStation Network.
